Man what a week. Remember in Superman: the move II when Superman gets his ass kicked by those other Kryptonians (Kneel before Zod), and he loses his cape? Then he like goes to his ancestral home (Not Krypton, but the farm he grew up on), and starts being all sickly and winy because he doesn't believe in himself anymore? See Superman's cape is like a symbol of self confidence, Superman isn't sick, he's just being a bitch. Lois Lane eventually brings it back to him and is like "Dude, really?" and he's like you're right I can do this.
Man for how nonsensical that movie is, it sure does nail it on character. Is that even Superman II? Am I mixing Richard Donner Superman movies?
Anyways not the point. I was like Superman this week, but opposite. I didn't leap tall buildings in a single bound or anything. I lost my iPhone (Superman's cape) and then got sick practically at the same time. But unlike Superman it wasn't about self confidence, and no beautiful, tough-as-nails, investigative reporter brought it back to me.
Basically this whole thing has been a complicated way to say: I Lost my iPhone and I also got sick at the same time.
But now I am not sick, and I have another iPhone. I shall not kneel before Zod!
I guess the point is: You can call me now.

No phone.
Hey Friends and Fam. If you've been trying to call me, I've lost my phone. So good luck with that.

Van City.
I love Vancouver. It is an amazing city that fits my lifestyle. It's young and creative, it's bike friendly, it's beautiful.

Augmented Reality
Remember when I said the Augmented Reality is going to be the next huge technology that changes society?
This is what I was talking about. It's as cool as it is scary (and chances are the will be slightly less ads when it happens in real life). Of course this is just a movie with several special effects and not a real demonstration of a real product, but you can bet we will see a device with similar capabilities within the next 10 years. Count on it.

A Metric Motherload.
Man, I keep a pretty full schedule. Birthdays, concerts, work, exercise, restaurant openings, sprint events. Sheezy.
I haven't had a night in for a while. Couple weeks at least. Weeks at best. This is good because I love people and I love experiences. I'm having the time of my life right now. This is the Summer of my youth, as they say.
It's also bad because, damn I just need a night off. But something always comes up. Like tonight for instance. I thought I was going to go home after work and veg out for the evening, but to my surprise Ethan Boss, an old co-worker from Best Buy is going to be in Vancouver tonight. Don't get me wrong, I am stoked to see Lethal Eth (that nickname works better when you say it.), but this is how my life gets flipped turned upside down.
Honestly though, if these are my only worries in life, my life must be pretty awesome.
What did I do this week?
Firstly I went to Bao Bei, a new fancy-ass Chinese restaurant that just opened. My good friend Patrick is a bartender there. The place is beautiful and the food is superb.

On Wednesday Moses had is Sprint Event. I helped him out with that. This month proffered a wonderful turn out, and next month should be even crazier!

Thursday was my friend Michelle's 25th birthday, so we went out to Diamond and the Met to celebrate.

The best part of the week however was seeing Phoenix live at the Orpheum last night! I've been looking forward to this concert for months. I tried to record some of the show on my iPhone, but the crowed was too loud. I did however get two awesome performances from their encore. Enjoy:

With Great Power Also Must Come Great Squandering.
Yo internet what's crackin'? Sup wit it?
I've been feeling powerful lately. Like I have limitless ultimate potential. I'm eating better and exercising again. I'm reading actual books and intellectual magazines. I'm taking fun pictures of fun people doing fun things. I'm re-watching all of Lost again.
The lame thing is I'm not really living up to that potential. I need to make time to be more creative. I need to draw and write more than I do. So that's what I'm going to do. I have a desk and bunch of art supplies, all I need is a chair and I'll be in business.
Time is coming to start working on some new Valentines. If you want a hand made Valentine by a dude with a BS in General Art email me your address (and possibly an idea of what you want) and I'll see what I can do.
Here are some pics from the staff party:
